Commercial work by David Wright Architects ranges from renovations to a Licensed Premises, School extensions and most recently planning permission was secured from the local authority for an apartment development.  Our team has extensive experience in larger office, apartment & mixed use developments.


EDUCATIONAL ABOVE:

This classroom extension was constructed with limited funds from a Devolved Grant from the Department of Education on time and budget. Planning, fire, disability access certificates & tender drawings were all required within a condensed time period.

The building form was restricted by site constraints and the limited budget yet a robust bright learning environment was achieved. Joinery is constructed in birch faced plywood to match existing school furniture. Flooring is bright Marmoleum with contrasting colours.

MIXED USE COMMERCIAL PROJECTS

David Wright was the project architect for this development featured to the right In Malahide with Conroy Crowe Kelly Architects. Completed in 2007, there are 46 apartments around a raised garden over Retail Units, a Restaurant and Cafe at Street Level.  The rhythm of the elevations and the punched window openings were  carefully considered so that a large scale development would not be incongruous with the typical street pattern in Malahide.
